SACRAMENTO – According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in California is at $3.238 which means the Golden State now holds the title for the highest gas prices in the nation. Motorists are definitely feeling it at the pumps with a 12 cent per gallon gas tax that went into effect a week ago today.
Back in April after the liberal supermajority passed Senate Bill 1, the car and gas tax, former State Senator George Runner predicted that gas prices in the Golden State would be the “highest in the nation.” Chris Nichols with PolitiFact California examined the statement and verified it to be true.
